Canada and Australia will not send their Athletes to the Tokyo Olympics games because of risks linked with coronavirus outbreak. This statement is cleared and approved by the Olympic Committees of both the countries separately. Both countries are also calling to postpone the games until 2021. Let’s wait for their final decision of postponing games till next year or not. The Australian committee said in the statement to the teleconference by Monday that the Australian team could not be able to assemble in a given circumstance that is changing day by day across the world. They also said that Our Athletes need to focus on their health and those around them now and take care of themselves to be able to return to their families.
The committees’ final decision comes after an hour and they announced that the Olympics might be postponed but not canceling incoming summer due to the Pandemic or coronavirus outbreak. Furthermore, they are considering multiple options to deal with coronavirus including the customized plans of allowing the Olympics 2020 on schedule or changing the dates of the games. The International Olympics Committee board has faced various pressures to postpone the game because of the people across the world are getting sick day by day dut to COVID-19.
Japan Olympic Committee as well as the USA swimming and track & field both rank Olympics to be postponed to 2021 because some of the Athletes are unable to train. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe the decision to postpone the Olympics might be needed if the games in a complete form will not be held. Abe also made a remarkable statement during a session in parliament after the International Olympic Committee decision on Monday that the whole group is decided to step back from the scenario planning for 2020 Tokyo Olympics in reaction to COVID-19.
