Makeup artist, social media influencer and YouTube star Ethan Peters, aka EthanIsSupreme, has passed away at the age of 17.
Peters’ father, Gerald Peters, confirmed his son’s death on Sunday afternoon.
Elder Peters, who found his son in his room around 11:00, told the network that he was certain the cause of death was a drug overdose, although no official sentence has been passed.
“The cancellation culture we found weighed heavily on his heart. I wanted nothing more than to inspire, make people laugh and push the boundaries of what is acceptable in our world for all young people, “Gerald Peters told Fox News.” He was a kind soul, who accepted everyone for who they were. ”
Ethan Peters’ best friend and fellow Instagram star Ava Louiise has noticed her struggles with addiction on social media and posted resources for those struggling with substance abuse, Entertainment Tonight reported.

The talented makeup artist, originally from Texas, had battled addiction, according to Louise.
“Addiction is a disease. I’ve had to put Ethan aside for the past few weeks and talk to him about its use. Everyone around him was scared,” he said on Sunday. “I wish I tried harder, damn it, I wish I yelled at him more, I wish I didn’t activate a single pill he took.”
“Get your friends out before it’s too late. Get some real help for your friends before it’s too late,” Louise continued. “Ethan told me a week ago he wanted help … I wish I had forced him. I wish I could yell at him. I wish I hadn’t let him take pills in front of me. This pain is insane.”
Manuel Gutiérrez, known professionally as Manny MUA, also shared a tweet on Sunday. “Rest in peace ethan @trashqueenethan, you were incredibly talented at such a young age,” he shared. “I know he made many mistakes … but to say he deserved to die is horrible and inhumane. I pray for his family and loved ones, a horrible loss.”
Before joining the beauty world, Peters ran a successful meme account (Betch) that grew to 1.3 million followers before selling it for $ 25,000 at just 13 years old.
